Supporting Healthcare Outside the Hospital
Delivering better patient, visitor and staff access with integrated electrical solutions
Wexford General Hospital is a major regional healthcare provider delivering acute and specialist care to communities throughout south-east Ireland. To improve access to the campus and enable future clinical expansion, the HSE commissioned a new multi-storey car park as part of a wider redevelopment programme.
Delivered with Tom O’Brien Construction, the project adds another significant milestone to Cross Electrical Services’ portfolio of electrical contractor projects in Ireland.
Cross Electrical Services was responsible for the complete electrical installation and integration with the hospital’s existing infrastructure. The scope of the project included:
- LV Distribution
- ICT Systems
- Security (Access Control, Intercom, CCTV)
- Fire Alarms
- Emergency Lighting
- Disabled Refuge & Toilet Alarm Systems
- Barriers, Ticket Machines & Pay Stations
- Automated Car Park Counting
The breadth of the installation shows the technical capability across the company’s wider electrical project portfolio and completed electrical projects.
Completed in early 2026, the four-storey, 400-space facility improves day-to-day access for patients, visitors and staff, while supporting the hospital’s continued growth. The project demonstrates our measured, collaborative approach to delivering complex electrical infrastructure that meets the long-term needs of public sector clients.
